Postmodernism.......

Postmodernism in music is simply music of the postmodern era, or music that follows aesthetical and philosophical trends of post modernism.

This can be expressed through a wide variety of medias, one of which can be music videos.

An example of a music video that is postmodern and and also influenced by the subject is the music video for "whos laughing now" by Jessi J.

It includes intertextual references to the film mean girls. Mainly the choice of pink clothing was the factor and the way they were presented.

Hyper conscince - Also in this video we can see that the artist is playing multiple, highly sterotypical charcters aswell as herself. This ilustrates hyper conscience as it gives the viewer a reminfer that what they are watching is not real(Diegesis).

This video also includes parody - It is demonstrated by parodying a school. This is illustrated by over stereotyping it and the staff. Also it parodies bullies by spraying them in the face with foam.
